AdvaCare Clinics: Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Physical Therapy

Every year, around the world, between 250 000 and 500 000 people suffer a spinal cord injury (SCI). The majority of spinal cord injuries are due to preventable causes such as road traffic crashes, falls or violence. People with a spinal cord injury are two to five times more likely to die prematurely than people without a spinal cord injury, with worse survival rates in low- and middle-income countries.

Spinal rehabilitation addresses the treatment and healing of injuries and works to prevent future injuries and disabilities. Spinal rehabilitation focus on pain relief, promoting healing, restoring function and movement associated with the injury. Other focus areas include ergonomics, fitness and wellness.

Our staff is specially trained in spinal rehabilitation. We work closely with you to customize the most appropriate rehabilitation program based on your particular condition. We customize every rehabilitation program based on the unique characteristics of each patient.
