The secrets of IV Therapy and why you should never try it unless you want a better life!

Advacare Clinics offers tailored nutritional testing and therapeutic IV therapy to patients seeking a stronger immune system and overall restorative
health. At the time of your consultation, each patient is unique and an individual plan would be tailored to your specialized needs for IV therapy.

Intravenous Therapy is a cocktail of vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that can help boost immune function, increase energy levels, and help manage a variety of chronic health problems. IV nutrients are powerful preventive and anti-aging therapies for many health conditions.

One chief reason Advacare Clinics includes IV nutrients in a clinical setting is the capacity to provide rapid symptom relief in a wide array of situations. When vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients are infused intravenously (IV) they go directly into your bloodstream to fuel your cells. That means they avoid the potential loss of potency and poor absorption in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract that is a characteristic of nutrients taken orally.

This makes IV nutrient administration a powerful therapy for numerous health reasons and provides an energy production boost in your body. The nutrients most commonly injected using IV therapy are a mix of calcium, magnesium, zinc, selenium, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, and C, folic acid, glutathione, and biotin.

But the real reason we offer this is a very personal and life changing event I, Dr. Dennis Lenselink, Administrator of Advacare clinics had to deal with. Without the help of IV therapy my life would have been changed in a very negative way.

I would like to share my personal experience dealing with a health situation I would not wish on my worst enemy.  About four years ago I started to feel extremely fatigued, I was so short of breath I could only walk about ten steps and had to sit down. Eating a few bites of food would be very taxing and then I had to sit or lay down. I had no drive and had a hard time concentrating and thinking.  None my blood work nor any other tests could shed any light on the cause of my issues; everything was in the “normal” range.  Yet I felt like I was dying, and in fact, I was.  In the end my immune system was going crazy against my own cells. I was not the person I had been just a few weeks earlier. In about two weeks I had lost about twenty pounds, something I wanted to do, but not like this!

I admit I was under high stress as I was in the middle of developing my new clinic. I felt I had to keep trying to live a normal life, yet here I was in this crisis and the stress of failing seemed worse than dying.

In the back of my mind my inner doc kept telling me to look at Lyme’s as a possible underlying issue. None of the regular tests were positive from the “regular labs” all traditional medical clinics use. So I went to labs that worked outside the box and had developed their own “proprietary” tests. By the way, this is how all tests have been proven, developed and finally brought to market.

I finally found and used a Lyme test developed over in Osceola Wisconsin and have used this as my go to test for any people dealing with issues like I have described or wonder if they may be dealing with some form of Lyme disease.  The test just doesn’t look at Antibodies but tests different segments of your immune response to antibodies, so to speak. Bingo, I had one segment that was off the charts. I finally got on the right antibiotics and started to feel better, but I was only about 20% better.

The two bags I got over two days basically stopped the hard breathing and I felt rested for the first time in months. One of the other issues I was dealing with was a weird loss of my vision; I was dealing with a tunnel effect. That was gone! Once back home I continued on with about fourteen more sessions of IV “cocktails” over the next two to three months.  When I felt “the change coming on” I could just tell I was having some level of relapse, I would go in and get one to four bags and I was back on track.

A fellow Chiropractor from Oklahoma is a leader in treating Lyme and West Nile virus. Yes, a Chiropractor. Oklahoma is currently the only state where a Chiropractor can perform IV therapy. Ironically, many of his patients are MD’s from around the country that had contracted West Nile or Lyme. He gave me two bags of a special mixture of what is known as a “Meyer’s cocktail”. This has been successfully used for people dealing with a variety of issues:  cancer, degenerative issues, inflammation and wasting diseases, brain fog, sports enhancement and recovery, sports injuries, and yes the fast recovery from the proverbial hang over.  I have to note, you never use IV nutrition instead of traditional forms of cancer therapy for a Cancer patient. The IV nutrition is to help offset the negative effects the radiation and drugs do to your cells. You have to stay healthy to fight any illness or disease. IV nutrition therapy is just a mainstay protocols at Cancer Treatment centers of America, which I have visited and had on my radio show.

These are a high dose mixture of Vitamin C, trace minerals, B-vitamins and the addition of several prescriptive does of injectable Homeopathics in my case. IV therapy bypasses the digestive tract and has the ability to get essential nutrients into the inside of your cells much faster and more efficiently than what could ever be absorbed through the digestive system.

Just look at the side line of any football or sporting event and you will see or hear of athletes being put on IV bags to get energy and rehydrate. (While on a trip to Seattle I got a dose of food poisoning and was vomiting and had diarrhea for three days). I knew I was in trouble and went to an urgent care center where the local MD put me on IV bags. I drained three 500 ml bags, the first went into me in 20 minutes, and usually it would take about 1.5 hours. I was a desert inside my cells.

Advacare Clinics had the opportunity to take over the IV department from Dakota Medical clinic since it closed last year. Our nurse had been mixing and performing IV’s there for over fourteen years.

To see if IV therapies could benefit you, you have to come in for a medical evaluation with our Director and they have to write a prescription and orders for a trial of therapy. You just can’t walk up to a bus and order one, it doesn’t work that way.

IV therapy is huge in other markets around the country; Florida in general, Atlanta, Chicago, Arizona, NYC and LA to name the big markets. Want to have energy, do better on an exam, recover from a cold or the Flu faster, look better for your wedding, or just for the wellness of it! Give us a call.

The following is a breakdown of: the how, the why and the what for. Here is a list of some of the more common conditions to consider looking at IV therapy for to help you back on the road to a faster recovery.

Myers’ Cocktail is named after John Myers, M.D., a Baltimore, Maryland physician, who used intravenous vitamins as treatment for fatigue, upper respiratory infections, acute asthma attacks, chronic sinusitis, seasonal allergies, migraines, and other disorders. His actual “recipes” differ only slightly from what is given to patients today.  His successor, Alan Gaby, M.D., developed the formulation commonly known today as the Myers’ Cocktail and named it after Dr. Myers to honor the pioneering practitioner.

Intravenous Vitamin therapy (IVT) is administered by directly introducing vitamin rich cocktails directly into the bloodstream which then can directly penetrate into the cells that need it. IVT is not as new as you’d think; in fact it has been practiced since the early 1930’s. Vitamins, nutrients and minerals are essential to maintain optimal health.

Many people believe that we receive everything that we need through the food that we eat. In order for nutrients to be absorbed into the the body they must first surpass the stomach, liver and intestines. After the extensive digestive process we only absorb about 8% of the nutrients that we receive from food. No kidding!! And that is if your digestive tract is working like it should.

People with slow and sluggish digestive systems or if you are taking medications, are sick or just over the age of 50, will cause you to absorb even less than the estimated amount of 8%. To add to the issue patients with compromised immune systems may need even more than the maximum nutrients that eating food can provide. IVT is beneficial since it bypasses the typical digestion process providing quick and direct therapy.

With the rising prevalence of chronic illness, the increased cost and side effects of pharmaceuticals and the need for safe, inexpensive therapies for chronic illnesses, people are seeking new means for treatment of their health concerns. One of these methods is IV (intravenous) nutrient therapy.

IV nutrient therapy is an effective means of treatment with typically no adverse effects for a variety of conditions such as cancer; chronic fatigue syndrome; fibromyalgia; Parkinson’s; migraine headaches; autoimmune conditions; Lyme disease and other chronic infections; environmental toxicity; and malabsorption problems.
